Welcome to ‘West Penno’

The purpose of WPHCC is to gather, go, and grow to the glory of God. We gather as God’s people to bring Him glory. We go into the world to live for His glory, and we aim to be a community that grows for His glory.

Gather, Grow, Go, for God’s Glory

Our vision is to see communities of believers gathering together, encouraging one another in spiritual growth, investing life into our local and global community, all in the reflection of God’s love.

Simple Love in June at West Penno

During June, WPHCC will once again be participating in Simple Love, collecting groceries for asylum seekers living in the community. The groceries will be donated to the Food Bank at JRS Arrupe Place Drop-in Centre in Parramatta. Grab a Simple Love bookmark with the shopping list on it from the display table. Cash donations are also accepted and will be used to buy toiletries. Collection Sunday is 26 June. If you would like to help with the delivery or need any more information, please see Mandy Juraev or Sophia McCrindle.

If you would like to know more about the issues facing people seeking asylum in Australia, you are invited to a special screening of the documentary film, Chasing Asylum, at Event Cinemas Castle Hill on Monday 20 June at 6:30pm. Tickets are $20. Please see Mandy or Sophia if you would like to come.

Church Survey 2016 (CS16)

Hi Church,
As we’ve mentioned during our services and noted in our newsletter, the leaders of WPHCC are conducting a church wide survey (CS16) in order for us to be able to better guide, lead, disciple, and shepherd the flock that is under our care at West Penno.
We will allow some time in this weeks service for this, however if you can fill this out now via the online link that will be, by far, the easiest and best way to do it. So we’re encouraging everyone to do it this way if possible.
It’s not a long survey and it’s an opportunity for everyone to give feedback on a variety of areas of church life, and to communicate your thoughts with the Elders.
Click on this link to begin the CS16
We will also have some paper copies available on Sunday morning for those unable to fill it out online, however, as mentioned, online is the easiest and preferred option if possible.
May this tool be useful for us all as we seek to Gather, Go and Grow to the Glory of God!
In Christ
Tim Kirkegard on behalf of the Elders
